About

Ray Watson in Parc du Bic, 2005

Parc du Bic, Quebec. Spring 2005.

I initially got interested in photography in 1984 when I bought a Minolta X-370 and started shooting nature and landscapes while on camping and hiking trips. I photographed on and off over the years until I got my first digital point and shoot camera and really got back into shooting. That initial digital camera was followed by getting back into slide film and relearning to shoot manually on my original Minolta. In 2003 I purchased my first DSLR and I have been shooting digital exclusively since then.

In the past I have posted mostly nature and landscape photos but over the years my interests have morphed and changed so I will most likely be throwing in some studio work, auto racing, and anything else which catches my fancy.

I have published images of the lower St Lawrence areas in tourist guides (Kamouraska Tourist Guide 2004, Kamouraska Tourist Guide 2005, Official tourist guide 2003-2004 Bas-Saint-Laurent, Official tourist guide 2005-2006 Bas-Saint-Laurent), automotive images in the Auto123.com magazine and the Grand Prix de Trois Rivières magazine and a macro image in the book Biology, 8th Ed. By Campbell and Reece.
